Mexico City, March 2, 2016 - The Lubrizol Corporation's Engineered Polymers business announces today that it will showcase several new and differentiated polymer solutions at Plastimagen 2016 in Mexico City, Mexico, March 8-11, 2016.  Lubrizol Engineered Polymers will exhibit alongside the Lubrizol Performance Coatings and LifeSciences businesses at the Centro Banamex Exposition Hall, Booth #2946.

A global leader in providing remarkable solutions to some of the industry's toughest application challenges across sports and recreation, industrial and consumer markets, Lubrizol Engineered Polymers will highlight several innovations including:

Estane® VSN 9000 Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU)

  • With unique self-healing properties and other highly desirable functional benefits such as dimensional stability and chemical resistance, Estane VSN 9000 improves product performance and operational outcomes for designers, brands and producers of high-end eyewear frames.

Estane® High-Heat Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU)

  • A new Estane TPU specifically formulated for superior abrasion and chemical resistance, but featuring excellent high heat resistance, as well as low temperature flexibility, making it ideal for the next generation of cable jacketing and injection molded components that must survive in extreme operating conditions.

Pearlstick(TM) and Pearlbond(TM) Adhesive Solutions

  • Lubrizol's portfolio includes TPUs that can be utilized in solvent-based adhesives, hot melt, reactive hot melt and adhesive film applications.  With an ever-expanding range of melting points and crystallization speeds, Lubrizol offers a convenient single source of reliable solutions, helping to enable today's novel fabrication and assembly methods.

Additionally, Lubrizol Engineered Polymers announced it has been selected to present at Plastimagen.  Dr. Sat Nistala, who holds a Ph.D. in chemistry and Six Sigma certification, will present "A Novel and Innovative Self-Healing Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU):  A Case Study for High-End Eyewear Applications."  The presentation will be given on March 11, 2016 from 13:15 to 14:00 hours in the Palacio Canal 10 room.
