|Lubrizol's New Commercial Vehicle Engine Oil Additive CV9601 and European Technical Center Recognised in Sustainability and Innovation Awards|
CLEVELAND, July 16th, 2013 - The Lubrizol Corporation's European Technical Centre in Derbyshire has recently been shortlisted for two industry awards: The Marketplace Sustainability Leadership Award, part of The Responsible Business Awards organized by Business in the Community, and the Innovation Award organized by the UK Chemical Industries Association. We are pleased to announce that Lubrizol was awarded a Big Tick in the Marketplace Sustainability Leadership Award category and was the only chemical company shortlisted for the national award.
The Responsible Business Awards are the UK's longest-running and most respected corporate responsibility awards. The awards scheme was set up to champion and raise awareness and share best practice examples of companies making a positive difference across the UK by tackling key social and environmental issues. The Chemical Industry Awards are the premier accolades for the UK chemical industry.
Phil Shore, general manager of Lubrizol's Hazelwood site in Derbyshire, England stated, "Although we didn't receive the overall awards, we were very pleased to be recognised at these important events. Lubrizol Additives' mission is to be a global specialty chemical company that enables transportation and industrial equipment to work better, last longer and minimize environmental impact. Being acknowledged by these groups highlights the concerted efforts of the team here at Hazelwood to deliver these benefits to our customers through innovative product development."
Lubrizol's two award submissions were focused on the development, testing and marketing of one of our new products, CV9601, a commercial vehicle engine oil additive that offers unrivalled benefits in comparison to other products available in the marketplace.
Lubrizol® CV9601 is a unique product that provides durable protection for engines while at the same time reducing petroleum use and associated greenhouse gas emissions. This product achieves a level of performance that is unique in our industry. Lubrizol's new CV9601 additive package enables the formulation of premium synthetic commercial vehicle engine oil. Backed by global industry and OEM certifications, Lubrizol CV9601 provides the same level of engine protection as leading commercial engine oils along with more end user benefits.
Lubrizol is delighted to have been nominated at these two important events and recognised not only for the programme to develop this exciting new product but also the overall ethos of The Lubrizol Corporation, recognising and responding to global trends and collaborating with other key stakeholders to offer business, environmental and societal benefits in both the short and long term.
