New products will feature expanded hardnesses, enhanced benefits of the
Tecothane™ Soft line

CLEVELAND, January 30, 2013 – Lubrizol LifeScience Polymers has broadened its line of Tecothane™ Soft polymers designed specifically for healthcare and medical applications.

This new technology features good mechanical properties, excellent resilience and recoverability, while also providing a range of material hardnesses. The new Tecothane Soft TPU products also feature low specific gravity and better alcohol and chemical resistance compared with standard polyurethanes.

Explaining how the extension of the Tecothane Soft line will lead to expanded usability, global business manager of Lubrizol LifeScience Polymers, Ralf Hüther said, “Making harder materials available means that our customers can use Tecothane Soft TPU in a broader range of applications, including larger catheters and extension tubing.”
